Our path towards a more sustainable future is also reflected in the P&C* Conscious Fashion Store, as the architecture and interior design follow the vision of our Sustainability Journey. The store at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is built based on the principle of minimalist architecture. From eliminating unnecessary cladding to using minimalist, multifunctional furniture – only what is truly needed has been built.

#1 - Fewer Walls, Fewer Resources

We only built what was truly necessary. Compared to a conventional store, we saved 900 m² of drywall for the wall cladding alone. This is what more sustainable minimalism looks like.

#2 - A Floor for the Earth/Environment

To build sustainably, we need to minimize resource consumption. Our concrete floor not only impresses with its industrial aesthetic but also protects the environment by eliminating 3,000 m² of floor coverings.

#3 - From Yogurt Cups to Designer Furniture

What looks like marble is actually recycled yogurt cups. These recycled materials were transformed into furniture for our P&C Conscious Fashion Store, which is not only durable and functional but also makes a significant contribution to waste reduction. Sustainability can look this beautiful.

#4 - More Sustainable Textile Dreams

Our curtains are more than just curtains: The textiles used to make them were produced in Europe according to high sustainability standards, including the EU ECO Label & Greenguard Gold, and are known for their durability.

#5 - Carpets with a Climate Certificate

With more sustainable carpets, we are taking another step towards a more sustainable future. The carpets in our store are made from 100% recycled PET fibers and are also certified with a "Climate Neutral Certificate."

#6 - Clay, the Ultimate Eco-friendly Building Material

For the P&C Conscious Fashion Store, we used the leader in sustainable building materials: clay. It is resource-efficient, waste-reducing, and produced with minimal energy consumption, unlike any other building material. The clay used in the store is sourced from Germany and can be recycled even after many years. A building material for the future.

#7 - Thoughtful Lighting Concept with Renewable Energy

Less light, more highlights. By using insulated LED base lighting with light spots at key areas, we not only save energy for the power supply but also reduce the cooling load for the P&C Conscious Fashion Store.

We love fashion. And our P&C Conscious Fashion Store celebrates this love as well as the creation of shared memories – all while keeping the goal of our Sustainability Journey in sight. In addition to our more sustainable exclusive brand** Jake*s Studio, we are working with many other brands and partners, including the second-hand concept, on our path to greater sustainability, filling the P&C Conscious Fashion Store with life, inspiration, and more sustainable fashion.

#8 - More Sustainable Fashion from Jakes Studio

Jakes Studio expresses what is important to us and what drives us. It was created as an exclusive brand that combines more sustainable products with progressive aesthetics and quality. We are creating a space where sustainability and innovation are at the heart of our actions. Through our thoughtful use of resources and the use of more sustainable materials, we are fostering awareness of more sustainable fashion.

#9 - New Brands Changing the Industry

In addition to the more sustainable exclusive brand Jake*s Studio, many other brands such as VAUDE, Ecoalf, Knowledge Cotton, Lanius, Drykorn, and Colorful Standard are joining us on our journey, bringing life, inspiration, and more sustainable fashion to the P&C Conscious Fashion Store.

#10 - Second Chances with Vintage & Rags and Our Clothing Collection Box

The topic of circularity is also highlighted in our store. In the Secondhand Corner, Vintage & Rags gives former favorites a new life. Additionally, through our collection box in collaboration with TexAid, customers can drop off their unwanted clothes. The collected clothing is then sorted and divided into wearable items and recycling material. In both cases, the textiles get a chance to create many more memories, thus contributing to waste reduction and lowering environmental impact, as fewer new products and materials need to be produced.

#11 - Our Seal Standard Provides Clearer Guidance

To offer our customers guidance in selecting more sustainable products, we curate sustainability seals and certifications and summarize them in our own seal standard. We regularly review these standards and set new goals.
