Promoting ecological and social standards throughout the entire supply chain is, for us, a key requirement for a more sustainable and future-oriented fashion industry. That’s why all products sold by us must meet minimum requirements and standards.

For our exclusive brands**, we are able to ensure high standards ourselves. That’s why our subsidiary, International Brands Company (IB Company GmbH & Co. KG), which is responsible for our exclusive brands, has been certified for several textile standards, including the Organic Content Standard, Recycled Claim Standard, and Responsible Wool Standard.

When it comes to external brands, we work closely with our partners and define clear guidelines for responsible production and certified materials in our supplier policies, known as our supplier manuals.

In our sustainability certificate standard, we define which third-party sustainability certifications we recognize. Our focus is on responsible materials that are sourced and produced in a resource-efficient way, production methods with higher environmental and social standards, and the use of recycled fibers. A product must consist of at least 30% materials that meet these standards. We differentiate between licensed materials (such as Tencel and Lenzing) and certified materials. The sustainability certificate standard is reviewed annually for quality, relevance, and traceability.

Since 2023, we have offered collections under our exclusive brand Jake*s Studio that consist exclusively of products certified with third-party sustainability labels.

Our Animal Welfare Policy

In addition to caring for people and the environment, the protection of animal welfare is also important to us. For several years now, we have refrained from using real fur in our product ranges. In 2023, we joined the Fur Free Retailer program of the Fur Free Alliance and publicly declared our stance against the use and sale of real fur.

Furthermore, together with the experienced experts from the animal welfare organization VIER PFOTEN, we developed an Animal Welfare Policy. This policy outlines our expectations and principles for the respectful treatment of all animals throughout our supply chains.

Our Services for Long-Lasting Fashion

Future-ready fashion must be built to last. Offering products made from high-quality materials is just the first step – but we don’t stop there. We want to inspire our customers to value long-lasting pieces and support them in making conscious fashion choices, caring for their garments properly, and enjoying them for as long as possible.

Our employees in the stores take time to offer expert advice on both style and the sustainability aspects of our products. Through our free INSIDER program, customers can book a 60-minute personal shopping consultation at any of our locations.

We’re also there for our customers after the purchase. In our online shop, we provide detailed care guides for different materials, offer tips for proper cleaning, and share easy instructions for small repairs.

In around 40 in-house alteration studios, we tailor garments to fit perfectly – even if they weren’t purchased from us. Every year, our tailors perform several hundred thousand alterations and repairs. It’s important to us that this service remains accessible to everyone through attractive pricing.
